First of all, I'm not defending AMS. I'd be glad to see them out of business.
Now that that's out of the way, I think it's wrong to label somebody that can just now afford a Z and can't afford top notch parts as "slimeballs". Even choosing to buy an AMS part doesn't make somebody a "slimeball", they likely just don't know what AMS is about. Ignorance is probably the real heart of the matter. How many younger guys that you called slimeballs are going to research every company that produces parts? Who does that in general? How is your average n00b to know how unethical the AMS replicant factory is?
